Creative workshops and talent exchanges

Afrique au Féminin offers a variety of activities, and the exchange of skills remains the Centre’s flagship activity. It brings together immigrant women from all backgrounds, with the aim of sharing, participating, and showcasing a variety of skills, in order to encourage and foster knowledge and creativity. It was during discussions at these exchanges that the idea of ​​developing creative workshops was born.

Currently, Afrique au Féminin offers five workshops:

  • Crochet and Knitting

Creative arts workshops

Afrique au Féminin offers artistic workshops that combine creativity and psychological well-being, providing women with a space for personal expression. These activities serve both as a creative outlet and a healing tool, helping participants to better understand themselves and manage their emotions. Women learn practical techniques such as sewing, embroidery, and crochet—skills they can then use in their daily lives or even professionally.

Embroidery

Embroidery provides a sense of accomplishment when finishing detailed patterns. Repetition of gestures promotes mindfulness, reducing stress and anxiety in women.

Jewelry

The jewelry course allows learning different manufacturing techniques enriches personal know-how. This activity improves women’s self-confidence, patience and concentration.

Knit and crochet

The crochet class serves as sharing spaces where women can connect, share their experiences and build supportive relationships. These workshops promote social engagement, reduce isolation and strengthen the sense of belonging
