PAM
Parent Multiplier Agents
A training program is offered to immigrant women from diverse backgrounds to help them better understand the services and resources available in Parc-Extension and become a resource for their community. This three-month program includes two weekly two-hour sessions featuring workshops focused on local resources and personal development.
This initiative has resonated with many community partners, thanks to its mission to combat social isolation, promote well-being, and empower women.
These new community health workers, all immigrants themselves, play an increasingly important role in the integration of immigrants. Residents of Parc-Extension, these community health workers support newly arrived families in their integration process. They act as intermediaries between immigrant communities and the host society, facilitating collaboration with neighbors, schools, and other institutions.
