Canada invests 3.7 million dollars for the construction of our new house!
We have BIG news!
We are thrilled to announce that Afrique au Féminin has been selected as a recipient of the federal Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program, investing $3.7 million in the renovation and transformation of our new building.
Thanks to the generous support of our community, we were able to purchase a vacant commercial building at 8305 Durocher. Over the past few years, Afrique au Féminin has outgrown its current service capacity, requiring a new centre that meets our needs and allows us to provide the best possible services to our community.
With this financial support, our new home will be transformed into the building of our dreams, intentionally designed to truly meet the needs of our community. It will allow us to maintain our current programs and expand our offerings to meet the growing needs of immigrant women living in Parc-Extension. 8305 Durocher will be an inclusive, sustainable, and vibrant space, and we look forward to sharing it with you all!
We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Government of Canada’s Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program for understanding our vision for Parc-Extension and for recognizing the value of supporting our mission.
